|April is here and we are now past the half way mark of Lent. The beauty of the spring season lifts our spirits and reminds us that God makes His presence known to us each and every day.
This week the kindergarteners will be planting flower seeds. As we watch and wait for our plants to grow we will be reminded that we too must grow in our faith throughout these 40 days.
On Thursday morning the kindergarteners will recite their poems for the annual Holy Rosary School Speech Tournament. The children have been hard at work practicing their poems daily.
Our class will be writing letters this month to the shut ins of our parish community. We hope that our notes will bring smiles to their faces and let them know we are keeping them close in thought and prayer.
We have begun a new science unit on birds this month. The Seattle Audubon Society will visit our classroom next week to present a lesson on birds native to our area.
Holy Week will find our entire school gathering in prayer and reflection. On Holy Thursday the fifth grade will host the annual Seder Meal gathering. On Good Friday we will gather for Stations of the Cross.
May God’s love fill your heart on Easter Sunday!
