|Welcome to November,
November is one of my favorite months of the year because we are called to give thanks and offer our gratitude for the many blessing we have received.
On Monday we celebrate Veterans Day. The kindergarteners and many students within our school have made cards to let veterans know their service to their country is greatly appreciated. We all benefit greatly from their supreme sacrifice.
Our school is practicing the virtue of generosity by collecting food for our Saint Vincent de Paul food bank. Our efforts will enable needy families in our community to have food to enjoy throughout this holiday season.
On November 13th the Kindergarten is hosting our annual Grandparents Tea. The grandparents will spend the morning with their grandchildren touring our classroom, sharing refreshments and sharing memories from their own childhood experiences.
On November 21st the kindergarteners will walk to the Edmonds Museum to see many artifacts from the early days of our fair city.
Finally on Monday, November 25th our 8th grade buddies will join us for our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We will enjoy good food and make time to express our gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon all of us.
