|Happy New Year!
May 2019 be a year of many blessings for your family.
Now we are back to school and looking forward to many fun learning experiences throughout this month. In religion we will be learning about the Liturgical Year. Kindness is our virtue of the month.
Students are excited to start literature circles this month. Many students are having fun reading about the antics of Frog and Toad. Other students are enjoying the different adventures of Biscuit, the puppy. The children will be reflecting on their reading through writing and art activities.
Our newest science unit will find us learning about force and motion. We will be using ramps and incline planes to discover how we can change the movement of objects. Students will be using our Lego Education kits to create several simple machines.
On January 30th we will visit our local skateboard park to put our force and motion learning to the test.
The contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King will be our focus as we read about his life and learn about his commitment to solving problems in a peaceful manner.
As you can see, it will be a busy month in Kindergarten.
