Welcome to the season of Advent!
Advent is a time for waiting. We are waiting for the birth of Christ. What can we do while we wait for Christ’s arrival? We can light up the world with simple acts of kindness. On December 7th the kindergarteners will make their annual trip to Edmonds Landing. We will sing for the residents during their lunch hour and then gather in the activity room to make gingerbread houses with the seniors.
Throughout the month of December the Holy Rosary School students continue to bring in food to restock the shelves of our parish food bank. My students will be making Christmas cards which will go in the boxes of food sent out to brighten the holidays of those in need within our community.
On December 18th we will have a very special Christmas concert in church featuring all the students of HRS.
On December 19th we will enjoy our Polar Express Day. Students will wear their pajamas to school and we will all hop aboard our pretend train and make our way to the North Pole.
I hope this season of Advent will find you filled with peace and spreading kindness wherever you go.
