The beauty of God’s creation is so evident during the month of October. My kindergarteners will be jumping in the leaves before I know it.
We will start off this month by celebrating the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi on October 4th. The children will be bringing their stuffed animals to school on that day for our special “blessing of animals” in our classroom.
October is the month of Mary and Father Vincent will be visiting our classroom to talk to the children about the importance of the Rosary.
This month the children will be memorizing their first poem entitled “Pumpkin Head”. Reciting a poem each month will help students prepare for the annual speech tournament in the spring.
Our Dad’s Pumpkin Carving Night is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30th at 7:00 P.M. in the kindergarten classroom.
Holy Rosary School will be filled with ghosts and goblins on Halloween as students parade throughout the school showing off their finest costumes.
