Meet the Principal

Michelle CimarolliMrs. Sue Venable was hired as principal in August of 2012 after 37 years in the public school system as teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Her distinguished career included receiving the KCTS Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Leadership and a Blue Ribbon Award nomination. She was instrumental in the awarding of a Gates Foundation grant of $560,000 to the Edmonds School District for early learning collaboration between preschools and kindergartens. Her innovative “Jump Start” program for incoming kindergarten students has spread from the Edmonds School District throughout the Puget Sound area. She continues as a member of the Snohomish County Early Learning Coalition. Mrs. Venable has been an active parishioner at Holy Rosary since 1985 and is pleased to be able to bring her expertise to Holy Rosary School. “I am tremendously excited to be the principal of Holy Rosary,” says Sue, whose children graduated from the school. “I believe principal leadership is key to the success of a school and student achievement, and I enjoy working collaboratively with the staff, students and parents of Holy Rosary.
